drowning in acid

How the rain falls without
Elegance, on mushy, dead grass,
Lamenting what else but a tainted,
Purposeless cycle of falling.

Impossibly immortal
Maelstrom, swirling forever

Down, forever falling
Rain, pounding
On my
Window, yet somehow
Never yours; so
I pretended
Not to see the
Gallon of diluted gasoline

Beside my foot, and seeping
Under your shoe. I struck
The flint, red flames brighter than the
Moon’s blood-filled tears. new rain
Abhorrently fell around us, igniting
Your
Blue-green
Eyes in orange hues, your

Listless and now fading
Eyes, how
They turn to

Mine, and start to fail,
Enraged at the weaponized

Downpour of gasoline and
Rain. now you get damp fire
On your window panes,
While mine, still gets the
Never ending and brutal rains.

ABOUT

Deetzy is an asexual multi-hobbyist who has been diagnosed with depression, major anxiety, and AuDHD. Though when she first found out about these terms, she was wholeheartedly opposed to aligning with them. She was taught that her problems weren’t as bad as they could be, therefore invalid. She was often brushed aside and told that nothing she dealt with was a big deal from people she should’ve been able to look up to. So she turned to writing as a form of trying to figure out her mind and the very confusing world around her.
